In-Person Voter Registration Deadline

Primary Election: July 21, 2026,* is the last day for Minnesota residents to register in person to vote in the primary election. 

General Election: October 13, 2026,* is the last day for Minnesota residents to register in person to vote in the general election. 

*Registration temporarily closes 20 days before the election, and opens again on Election Day for voters who register at their polling place.

Mail Voter Registration Deadline

Primary Election: July 21, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. CT, is the last day for Minnesota resident voter registration applications to be received by your county auditor or the Secretary of State’s Office via mail.

General Election: October 13, 2026, is the last day for Minnesota resident voter registration applications to be received by your county auditor or the Secretary of State’s Office via mail.
